to treat hair loss!
For those persons who suffer from hair loss, the drug
called Finasteride is one of the most famous treatments among the numerous
preparations of such kind. One can find this anti-testoid drug in the
market shelves as Proscar, Propecia, Fincar, Finpecia, Finax, Finast,
Finara and Prosteride. In this particular article we will choose the
term Propecia in order to provide you with information about different
forms of Finasteride. We decided to take Propecia as it is the most
popular one among other versions of anti-testoid.
Propecia is anti-testoid that in a point of fact is blocker of 5-alpha
reductase. 5-alpha reductase is the ferment that transforms testosterone
into dihydrotesterone. Originaly it was discovered in 1992, however
physicians used it generally to treat prostate enlargement. Then during
the researches this ferment called Proscar in amount of 1 mg demonstrated
that it can struggle with hair loss as well as with ED and was approved
by FDA in 1997 as the first official hair loss cure.
Merck & Co is the original manufacturer of Propecia, which is the
trade mane of Finasteride. The quantity of Finasteride in Propecia
is only 1 milligram. On June 19 of 2006 the FDA allowed to produce
generic pharmaceutical formulation of Finasteride. One can buy generic
propecia in 5 mg pills.
Finasteride has never been tested by use for females and propecia
has neutral influence on women’s hair loss. Moreover, it is known
that
Finasteride in Propecia can be very dangerous for unborn fetus and
that’s why it has Category X according FDA's classification.
If one doesn’t consume the pill, it is not dangerous for pregnant
women and their babies, however anyway females should keep out from
the tablets,
especially if some of them are damaged or crushed. A lot of sports
and anti-doping test committees don’t allow to use Finasteride as
it can be practiced in masking the steroids consequences.
If you use propecia you can achieve 29-68 percent of success, however
this drug can be effective only during continuous usage. Once the
treatment is discontinued, you will lose the grown hair and the
balding process
will go on. In spite of the fact that Propecia acts especially successfully
in the crown of the head, it works lengthwise the hairline as well.
